JOB BOARD
Tournament Committee - The Chippewa Youth Hockey Association Tournament Committee is in need of a new Chairman as well as additional members. Responsibilities include acting as contact point for teams interested in attending CYHA tournaments, promoting & providing information on tournaments, scheduling & setting up brackets for tournaments, and training tournament directors. If you are interested, please contact Bob Normand or Amy Krause.
Zamboni Drivers - Each team/group with the Chippewa Youth Hockey Association is required to have a minimum of one approved Zamboni driver. We are also looking for drivers to cover re-surfacing in the evenings during the week (these hours can be used to cover work assessment requirements). If you are interested in learning to operate the Zamboni, please contact Bob Normand
Off Season Use Committee - This new committee develops programs and ideas to utilize the Chippewa Area Ice Arena when not being used for skating activities. In addition the committee is developing plans to market the building for use by potential customers and renters. If you are interested in helping out, or have an idea/program/customer for use during the off season, please contact Don Loew.
CONGRATS CHIPPEWA YOUTH HOCKEY!
Dave Fisher from USA Hockey called today to tell us we are one of the five $1,000 winners of their USA Hockey Weekends!!!!! Unbelievable! Dave told me there were hundreds of participants, but our stuff was "the cream of the crop!" Please see the attachment I sent about our weekend. I also sent the DVD I made of all the players, plus I made a DVD of the highlights of the weekend. Other things sent were our program, certificate, a button, the punch card for our friends, the announcement of our tournament and the card we sent to our friends to participate in the weekend.
I know this was a huge undertaking for this committee and our hockey teams.....a lot of hard work went into this! I believe in a few months the winners will on the USA Hockey website. Also, the USA Hockey Weekend was also be featured in their magazine, I believe sometime this summer! What wonderful recognition for our program!!!! Great job to everyone...make sure you share this with your teams! The check will be mailed to our association in about three weeks or so!
